At Minnesota Gun Rights, our entire existence is to defend and advance gun rights and the 2nd Amendment, regardless of the “ruling class” at the capitol and their political “inside-ball-games.”

But when it comes to defending gun rights, there aren’t that many places in America where the need for a vigilant defense is more urgent than right here in Minnesota.

Since early 2013, there’s been a renewed attack by anti-gun radicals in the Minnesota Legislature against our gun rights, and it gained even more steam with news that radical anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg set his sights and wallet on Minnesota to pass radical gun-control.

The next few years don’t seem to look much better.

But one of the problems with defending our gun rights is that it is a lot of hard work!

Bills have to be monitored. Phone calls need to be made. Letters need to be written. Emails need to be sent out. People have to be kept informed.

And Minnesota Gun Rights exists to do these things, because we know a lot of folks are just too busy with life, jobs, family and bills to be able to monitor the political games being played behind closed doors.

But no matter how closely Minnesota Gun Rights watches, no matter how many closed doors we’re able to peek behind and no matter what political-insider anti-gun agenda we expose, it means nothing if grassroots gun-rights activists like you aren’t behind us.

You see, it takes a grassroots ARMY of folks to mount an effective defense of our gun rights and to force politicians to take heed!

That’s why Minnesota Gun Rights is working overtime to raise and mobilize that grassroots army, and one of the ways we do that is by giving away free guns!

The first firearm I chose to give away, a DPMS AR15 utility rifle, is one of the same guns that elitist thugs in the legislature like Representative Michael Paymar want to BAN honest, law-abiding folks like you and me from owning.

A few days ago, I had the distinct pleasure of awarding Robert F. from Montgomery, MN with a brand new DPMS AR15 from Ahlman’s gun shop in Morristown, MN!

Their staff and representatives enjoy an excellent reputation and are extremely professional and helpful, and we can’t thank them enough for their help in this endeavor. The gun possessed some of the cosmetic features that anti-gun radical politicians hate: it shoots both .223 and 5.56, it has a telescoping stock, a 30 round magazine, a pistol grip, a birdcage flash suppressor and a flattop receiver!

I was excited to give it to Robert because gun ownership and the ability to defend yourself and your family is the Right of every law-abiding American!

And that is who Minnesota Gun Rights fights for: common, law-abiding folks who simply wish to defend themselves and their family.

Nevertheless, some politicians don’t feel the same, and would like nothing more than to make these law-abiding citizens easy targets for violent criminals by taking away their firearms.

With the 2014 Minnesota Legislative Session currently under way, we are busy keeping a close eye on threats to your gun rights from within and without the capitol.

Here are two things you can do right now to help:

1. Please take a moment to email your state representative and your state senator and demand that REFUSE to take up ANY legislation that violates our Right to Keep and Bear Arms, including Universal Registration, Hi-Cap Magazine bans or modern utility rifle bans.

With election season quickly approaching, anti-gun politicians and their well-heeled bankrollers at the capitol are chomping at the bit to pass radical gun-control to excite their support base. It’s critical that your representative and senator know in no uncertain terms that you will NOT reward bad votes they cast at the capitol with your vote on election-day!

2. Please forward this action item to your friends right away!

Like I mentioned before, defending gun rights boils down to numbers. If they ever get the number of votes they need to pass radical gun-control, they’re won’t hesitate for a second.

That’s why we need as many gun-rights folks activated as possible!
