By now you’ve likely heard the news about the slew of anti-gun legislative candidates here in Minnesota that were just endorsed by one of radical gun-grabber Michael Bloomberg’s organizations, “Every Town for Gun Confiscation Safety.â€
That’s right, anti-gun extremists like BILLIONAIRE Michael Bloomberg are trying to weigh in on elections in Minnesota and are prepared to spend MILLIONS of dollars to make sure that their radical agenda is carried out when the Legislature reconvenes next January.
In a strong foretaste of what’s all but certain to come next session, Bloomberg’s group focused very heavily on their Minnesota endorsement process – and totally skipped some of our neighboring states.
While the 2014 session saw skirmishes on the fight for gun rights, to be sure, 2015 seems poised to be an out and out battle!
That’s why I need your help, today, to get the word out about where the candidates stand as we approach the fall elections. More on that in a minute.
Of course we expect radical anti-gunners like Senator Al Franken and Gov. Mark Dayton to get the endorsement from groups like this. But this went far deeper than just federal or executive level races.
You see, for the first time, the extremist gun control crowd is endorsing into state legislative races. I’m talking about state house seats like Rep. Yvonne Selcer in HD-48A, Rep. Will Morgan in HD-56B, Rep. Paul Rosenthal in 49B (who personally presided over the Universal Registration Bill in the Public Safety Committee) and on the list goes.
Know this: Bloomberg, who had FOUR contract lobbyists working the legislature last session, will be expecting results for these endorsements. And I’m afraid that that’s exactly what will happen if you and I don’t get ready.
That’s why we’re laser focused right now on determining where all the candidates stand on your right to keep and bear arms. Frankly, this survey process is all but complete as we work to educate tens of thousands of Minnesotans about the truth.
Anti-gun politicians seem to follow the same script nationwide: vote against gun rights in the legislature, hope that few if any voters ‘back home’ hear about it, and then proceed to lie to those voters during the next election process hoping to confuse and trick them into another 2 or 4 year term living it up in St. Paul with expensive lobbyists.
Minnesota Gun Rights is determined that these attacks on our gun rights will not be swept under the rug. Our mission is to educate and inform gun owners, statewide, so that they will know the truth about the records of their legislators – thereby enabling them to make informed choices this fall.
We’re going to do this in a variety of ways, including:
*** Focused internet marketing >> Using Facebook, Twitter and other media in targeted areas, we’re reaching out to tens of thousands. This is going on right now!
*** Statewide email alerts >> Here’s where we can break down, in detail, the records that legislators like Rep. Barb Yarusso and Rep. Yvonne Selcer are desperately hoping you’ll not hear about.
*** Targeted Direct Mail >> In key races we’re going to be doing good old fashioned direct mail to gun owners, giving them critical information about what the candidates are hiding, and what special interests they seem to be fighting for in St. Paul.
*** Radio Ads >> If we can afford them I’m hoping to be up on the air (especially in pro-gun regions like the Iron Range) with hard hitting educational ads so that gun grabbers know that no matter how far they are from the gun control fight in St. Paul – their records WILL follow them home.
Some of this is underway as we speak.
But much more needs to be done! And that’s why I need your help, and I need it now.
No one else in Minnesota is fighting like this for your 2nd Amendment freedoms. In fact, the establishment gun lobby supported the very legislation that Bloomberg’s group highlighted when endorsing legislators like Rep. Yvonne Selcer and Rep. Will Morgan just the other night!
If gun grabbers like Will Morgan and Paul Rosenthal get the idea that they can run rough shod over our rights, vote to take guns away from Minnesotans for misdemeanors, and hang out in smoke filled back rooms in St. Paul conspiring with Michael Bloomberg’s team of lobbysists to take away our freedoms without consequence – then I fear for our rights and the gun rights of our children and grandchildren.
That is why I hope you’ll generously help fund Minnesota Gun Rights’ 2014 Survey Program!
For $100, I can run social media ads in a district for several days – educating up to 10,500 gun owners in that district. Think of the impact that would have, as 10,500 gun owners learn where their legislator really stands on the 2nd Amendment!
Alternatively, $75 will enable me to get over 160 pieces of targeted mail out the door – something that we desperately need to do.
Or, for your immediate donation of $50 I can just about get two additional radio ads up on the air.
This is your money – going directly to the fight for our rights in Minnesota!
No matter what amount you give, I only ask that you give as generously and as quickly as you can.
Thank you for your willingness to fight with us in this critical battle.

Chris Dorr

Michael Bloomberg is going all out to buy seats in the Minnesota Legislature to make concrete sure that his organization is strategically prepared to resume in January the out and out gun-control WAR he hinted at in 2014’s gun-control skirmishes.
