It’s crunch time.
Ever since the legislature gaveled in on January 3, Minnesota Gun Rights and gun owners across the state have been beating the drum for Constitutional Carry.
After Representative Cal Bahr (R-31B) introduced House File 309, gun owners went to work contacting their legislators demanding support and co-sponsorship of Constitutional Carry.
Because of all of your phone calls and emails in the last weeks, what started out as 3 co-sponsors has become 15!
And for that, we can’t thank you enough.
It’s clear H.F. 309/S.F. 649 are THE pro-gun bills grassroots Minnesotans are rallying behind.
But time is running out.
You see, Rep. Tony Cornish, the chair of the Public Safety Committee has yet to call a hearing and vote for HF309!
Just 9 days from now is the first committee deadline – meaning every bill has to be out of its committee of origin to remain alive.
I’m afraid without your immediate action, Constitutional Carry could be tabled for the year.
We can’t let that happen!
The truth is, committees are the “killing grounds” of some of the best freedom-restoring legislation.
Anti-gunners and weak kneed pro-gunners will often use committee deadlines to kill off pro-gun gun bills before they ever get to the floor for a full up or down vote.
Site, you and I have fought too long and too hard to defend and advance our Second Amendment freedoms to watch Constitutional Carry die in the drawer of a scared committee chair.
Gun owners flocked to the polls and delivered a professing pro-gun legislature to St Paul in 2016.
Now it’s time for THEM to deliver for US by passing HF309, Constitutional Carry!
No excuses.
No political spinning.
The deadline is fast approaching and a week from now will be past crunch time.
When you’re done, please consider making a generous contribution to help in this fight.
Minnesota Gun Rights is working around the clock to mobilize gun owners and force votes on this vital legislation.
But we can’t do it without you.
Now is the time to crank the heat up – don’t let up!
Thank you for all you do and we’ll be in touch.
For Freedom,
Benjamin Dorr
Political Director
Minnesota Gun Right
P.S. With Chairman Tony Cornish yet to schedule a House Public Safety Committee hearing or vote on Constitutional Carry, I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action.
Time is running out before the March 10 committee deadline, so we have to act FAST!
