The fight for Stand-Your-Ground is HEATING UP in St Paul.
As you may have seen, Fox News is reporting that Stand-Your-Ground law (HF238) may be coming to the House floor for a vote as soon as NEXT WEEK.
With anti-gun media like the Star Tribune losing their minds over Stand-Your-Ground law, and Bloomberg’s well-funded hordes constantly attacking our right to keep and bear arms, we can’t hold anything back – because they won’t.
A clean Stand-Your-Ground law would give Minnesota gun owners some of the best self-defense laws in the country.
If enacted into law, gun owners would:
1) No longer face a so-called “duty to retreat.”
In a situation where your life is on the line, the LAST thing you want to be thinking about is whether you’ve legally retreated far enough;
2) Receive criminal immunity from anti-gun prosecutors.
In other words, no more anti-gun prosecutors trying to make an example of you — or taking a case to court to make a political statement;
3) Receive civil suit immunity.
That means the money-grubbing family of some thug you had to defend yourself against can’t come after you in court and sue you for millions.
This is EXACTLY the kind of law that you and I deserve to have on the books so we can defend ourselves and our loved ones without having to flip a coin on whether or not we end up in jail.
But make no mistake about it, your signed petitions, letters, emails and phone calls are the ONLY reason why the State Legislature is even talking about Stand-Your-Ground law in the first place.
So now we need to send an avalanche of pressure into the capitol once again if we’re going to see Stand-Your-Ground law become a reality in Minnesota.
If you and I can make our voices heard, they WILL listen.
These signed petitions are one of the best ways you and I can give the legislature their marching orders.
Gun owners remember in 2016 when notoriously anti-gun Senator Ron Latz was doing his level best to pass Bloomberg’s Statewide Gun Registration scheme through his Judiciary Committee.
Minnesota Gun Rights staff delivered nearly 25,000 signed petitions from mobilized gun owners across the state with a simple message: If you pass Statewide Gun Registration, it’ll be the political death of your anti-gun caucus in the elections.
Your message was heard loud and clear and ALL gun control was stopped during the 2016 session.
Fast forward to March 2017, gun owners once again made their voices THUNDER in the capitol when we delivered another 20,000 of your signed petitions to the legislature demanding a hearing and passage of Constitutional Carry and Stand-Your-Ground legislation.
Again the legislature was forced to stand at attention and do the will of the gun owners who voted them into office and that is why Stand-Your-Ground is coming up for a vote in the near future.
That’s why I need you to sign your petition in SUPPORT of Stand-Your-Ground law right away!
When you’re done signing your petition I hope you’ll consider a major contribution to help our efforts!
Real political power lies in the hands of you, the voting gun owners of Minnesota.
So we need to identify and mobilize many more gun owners to help FIGHT for our Second Amendment freedoms and force the legislature to take action by passing a clean Stand-Your-Ground law.
