Amidst the corona virus madness and the near total shut down of our society, I wanted to touch base and let you know what is happening in St Paul when it comes to your freedoms. While most states have adjourned their legislatures, the Minnesota legislature has chosen not to… and that’s very bad news for your gun rights. As you saw in the picture above, the legislature has decided to be “on call” for the next four weeks. That means that instead of doing “business as usual” or doing what other states have done and simply taking a break from attacking our freedoms, Paul Gazelka and Melissa Hortman have decided that they’ll work remotely, making decisions behind closed doors, over the phone and in other long distance ways. When the politicians have decided, with no public consent and outside the public eye, that they have a law they want to pass, they’ll quickly convene for a short floor session, ram their bill into law and then go back to working remotely! This is NOT good news for gun owners. During times like this, there is very little or NO public involvement, insight or interaction whatsoever and, as we know, that’s exactly how the politicians like it. Anything can happen. They say ‘chaos is the friend of the state’ and we wouldn’t put it past these politicians to use a time like this to gut our freedom when very few are looking! So Web, Minnesota Gun Rights will be watching the legislature VERY closely and keeping you up to date on what’s going on in St Paul, even as things are in turmoil right now. These politicians will never let up and neither will MGR! And if you can help us keep the lights on right now by making a contribution, we’d appreciate it. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, stay vigilant and engaged and never, ever surrender your rights and freedoms for government promises! For Minnesota, Benjamin Dorr |
