Christmas is right around the corner and that means that the 2023 legislative session will be here in just a couple weeks.
Thousands of your fellow gun owners have renewed their membership in Minnesota Gun Rights as we gear up for what WILL be the most important legislative session we’ve had in years!

I’m worried.
The State Legislature reconvenes in St. Paul in less than a month and with crisis-level battles on the horizon, I still haven’t received your membership renewal for 2023.
If you’ve renewed your membership online or in the mail and our records have simply not caught up fast enough — then I hope, you’ll forgive my mistake.
But if you have not yet renewed your membership, I hope that you’ll take a few minutes to renew your membership for 2023 IMMEDIATELY!
The November 8 election was a mixed bag for gun owners at the federal level. It’s true, gun voters reclaimed the House and threw Nancy Pelosi and her party out of power.
But in the Senate, the results were not so good.
With the defeat of Herschel Walker in Georgia, liberty-hating Chuck Schumer will kick off 2023 with a solid 51-49 majority.
Minnesota Gun Rights must keep an eye on the gun control battles that will be coming out of Washington next year.
But while House Republicans may be able to defeat those threats in Congress, it’s clear that the only thing standing between our gun rights and absolute tyranny here in Minnesota are the members of Minnesota Gun Rights!
Scott Jensen ran a decent campaign, but he came up short and Tim Walz won re-election.
Keith Ellison, our out-of-control Attorney General who protects violent thugs while doing all he can to imprison law-abiding gun owners, won his bid for re-election as well.
The State House remains solidly in the hands of the Radical Left DFL.
And in a huge blow to gun owners, the MNGOP lost the Senate to the DFL, giving the Democrats a trifecta in St. Paul for the first time in a decade.
Any way you look at it, Tim Walz and his horde of demented tyrants have a complete lock on the legislative process here in St. Paul — and they’ve already announced they’ll be on the warpath against gun owners next session.
At a minimum, we could see action from the Left to:
- Enforce a statewide registry of every gun owner in Minnesota. This legislation has been the goal of the radical Democrats ever since they took the House in 2018 and now, with control of the Senate, they’re going to go for it.
The gun-grabbers need to pass this bill first, as the necessary building block for eventual gun confiscation!
- Immediately move to outlaw every single semi-automatic rifle, handgun, and shotgun in the state! If gun owners don’t put the brakes on this agenda, the DLF are not going to stop banning our AR-15s. They’ll ban your wife’s Glock 9mm, your Remington 11-87, and even your Ruger 10-22!
This bill was introduced last year by Senator John Marty (S.F.3377/3378) and Rep Alice Hausman (H.F.4013/4014), but MGR members viciously retaliated with phone calls, emails, and a MOUNTAIN of pressure, and got the bills shut down.
Now, with DFL control of the Senate, they may have the votes to pass it!
- Pass Red Flag Gun Confiscation laws for all Minnesotans. Under this scheme, government agents could bust into your home to seize your guns with ZERO due process just because someone complains about you. Totally unconstitutional.
Worst of all, in his victory speech on election night, Governor Walz promised to hold hearings and push votes on this very bill when the session kicks off in January!
Because honestly, this may be just the beginning. While Senate GOP leadership under Paul Gazelka was always very weak, gun owners kept them in line and shut down all the gun control for years! Now, with the Senate majority in DFL hands, these tyrants will be totally unhinged!
Now for the good news:
While the Democrats did take control of the Minnesota legislature, they only gained control of the Senate by ONE VOTE.
Just ONE.
That means all gun owners like you, and I must do, is make sure nobody in the Senate GOP wavers, and then peel off just ONE vote from the Democrats and we can put the brakes on this entire gun control agenda!
Already Minnesota Gun Rights is laying out our plans for the 2023 legislative session and picking our targets for a MASSIVE pressure campaign from gun owners who will make sure that weak Democrats get the message…
…IF YOU TOUCH OUR SECOND AMENDMENT, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR JOB!!!
But to achieve victory in this fight, it’s going to require the biggest grassroots program in the history of MGR.
In fact, I’ve put together a four-part plan to pressure these gun grabbers using every tool at our disposal, including:
1) Generating 225,000 petitions from all over Minnesota insisting the State Legislature STAND UP and STOP Tim Walz’ anti-gun assault.
2) Using email, social media and Internet ads to mobilize an additional 50,000 Minnesota citizens to put pressure on the Minnesota Senate.
3) Working the blogs and granting media interviews to explain to law-abiding gun owners what’s at stake in the 2023 legislative session.
4) Pay for hard-hitting radio, newspaper, and even TV ads if they prove necessary to stop these bills.
But nothing short of the future of Minnesota and our Second Amendment freedoms are on the line and so we MUST FIGHT BACK!
And that’s why I hope you’ll immediately renew your membership in Minnesota Gun Rights with a generous renewal of $125 or even $250, to make sure we’re able to fight for you next session.
Your renewal will help us mobilize hundreds of thousands of gun owners into taking action against Walz’s gun control using email, text, social media, and more!
I know it’s a lot of money, but this is a battle like no other.
There are major fights coming in the legislature and we’re counting on you. If we fail, we lose our freedom. It’s as simple as that.
So, if $125 or even $250 is not possible right now, I hope you’ll consider making a generous donation of $75, $50, or at least $35 so that we can hit the ground running in 2023.
